He Papermarket – 90 mil pés quadrados de espaço de trabalho flexível com um térreo de espaço de mercado criativo que oferece um novo destino social com múltiplos usos, desde exposições temporárias até unidades pop-up de alimentos e bebidas. A forma do edifício foi cortada em ângulo para permitir a entrada de luz natural no pátio principal, o terraço criado pela fatia oferece jardins paisagísticos com vista para o mar. A sustentabilidade esteve no topo da agenda com a estrutura de madeira oferecendo um ciclo de vida regenerativo, massa estrutural reduzida composta por grandes componentes leves que permitem tempos de construção truncados no local.

Above the market are 7 levels of Cat A office space which feature generous outdoor south facing terraces with sea views. The site is in a great location situated close to Brighton Station and the local amenities of Brighton such as The Lanes and the beach.

The Papermarket – Cada piso se espalha para os terraços comuns que funcionam como espaços externos de reuniões informais, com uma sutil sensação de fechamento, oferecendo um toque de intimidade e, ao mesmo tempo, liberando vistas amplas sobre o Canal da Mancha.

In section, the terraces are interconnected, with visual links between them, acting as ‘green lungs’ that offer some urban relief to the facing city.

A bold move to set the building back on the site, offering up a generous public square with engaging active frontage; blurring the boundaries between streetscape and flexible market space.
