Poject Name: CSBC House
Architects: PA Architecture
Location: Santa Barbara, California
In a serene enclave, a majestic 350-square-meter residence conceived by the renowned architectural firm PA Arquitectos stands tall. This architectural project emerges as a masterful embodiment of modernity and innovation, carrying with it an array of elements and characteristics that interlace to form an exceptional whole.
The uniqueness of this residence lies in its meticulously conceived spatial composition. Departing from the conventional confines of right angles, the exterior corners immerse themselves in an elegant dance of curves and intriguing forms. This bold choice challenges expectations and adds an artistic dimension to the structure.
Concrete, glass, and light-toned wood are the prevailing materials, each playing a vital role in the house’s palette. The concrete walls rise in a choreographed dance of apparent solidity and visual lightness, making room for glass walls that reveal the surrounding natural setting. This contrast provides a sense of continuity between the interior and exterior, allowing natural light to gently bathe the interiors and create a serene and welcoming atmosphere.
Three bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, offer personal sanctuaries of tranquility. The open space of the living and dining area flows effortlessly, fostering interaction and connection. The kitchen, equipped with technology and style, transforms into a space where culinary creativity finds its home. An office designed for concentration and productivity, and a lobby that welcomes with elegance, complete the interior design.
The crowning jewel is undoubtedly the curved pool that resembles a sculptural work of art in itself. Its sinuous form reflects the organic lines of the exterior walls, creating a unique visual harmony and an intriguing dialogue between spaces.
